FRENCH LICK, Ind. - The clarinets always try to put their all into practice. We know we make mistakes but as Michelle S. would say, “we just need to go out and throw it all down.”

The clarinet section consists of ten people.

Michelle S. is our section leader and our senior in the group. She said her favorite time this season was making it out of regional.

Mariah B. plays both bass clarinet and clarinet and is a freshman. Mariah’s favorite time over the season was when Mr. Aylsworth told her she was playing bass clarinet in the pre-show and at semi-state seeing the enjoyment of Orleans band when they were told they were going to state.

Eighth grader Bailey C. said her favorite part of the season was when Mr. Aylsworth pulled her in the band room and told her that she was moving up the first clarinet. Another one of her favorites was sitting on the ground next to Michelle and Mariah during band camp fighting over who had elephant or bird legs.

Shania B. is an eighth grader. Burns said “My favorite part of the season was doing backwards marching basics for a straight hour.”

Sheedea M. is a sophomore. She said her favorite part was meeting all these awesome people and especially getting to bond with the crazy clarinets.

Eighth grader Sarah M. says that her favorite part of the season was finally hitting that straight line and the end of the first number after running it about 100 times.

We have two seventh graders that march clarinet.  Amber S. said her favorite part of the season would be band camp and seeing everything just come together while Chasity F. said hers was the part of the show titled “THE STRUGGLE” is in the 3rd number when we all go down to “the struggle pose”

Kennedy R. is an eighth grader. She said her favorite part of the year was the first contest when we all threw it down and knowing we did pretty awesome walking off the field.

Last but certainly not least is freshman Jaden P. Jaden said that he just loves all the competitions and just the feel of it going out there.

That concludes the clarinets from the Springs Valley Blackhawk Brigade!
