Salute the Drum Majors

Blackhawk Brigade Junior Drum Major Member

Our drum majors this year are Kelly Hutsler, a freshman; Morgan Elmore, a sophomore; Elise McElroy, a sophomore; and Kaiti Wilson, a junior. Each of us was excited and nervous when we found out that we would be the new 2007 drum majors. Balee Watson has taught us many things and helped us become better drum majors.

We have had big shoes to fill this year, and even though we have not been outstanding for our first year, we have not fallen short in keeping with Balee’s reputation.

The band has really helped us this first year, even if they do not know it. I know in my heart that all of the drum majors would agree that we are proud to be the drum majors of the Blackhawk Brigade. Even though all the drum majors are rookies this year at conducting, I know that we each have a major love for the Blackhawk Brigade. We thank Mr. Alysworth for giving us a chance to be able to stand in front of the band.
