The Euphonium Euphoria

Blackhawk Brigade Junior Euphonium

This year in the 2007 show "3 Generations" consist of six euphoniums. This is the largest section of baritones that I have seen in my years in band. The euphoniums consist of two seniors, one junior, one sophomore, and two seventh graders.

The two seniors are Trish Allen and Jackie Morrison. Trisha Allen has been in the band for six years but marched for three years. Even though she has not been in band that long, she still has great leadership. She has been a wonderful senior marcher and we would like to say good luck to her in the future and that we will miss her. Jackie Morrison is our next senior. She has been in band for seven years and marched for six years. She has been in the section the longest. Even though she likes to joke around, she knows when it's time to be serious. She is the leader of the group. When it comes to it, she's a hard worker at everything she does and plans to on getting things done. We would, also, like to say good luck with future plans and that you will be missed.

The next two are junior Billy Watson and sophomore Morgan Elmore. Billy Watson has been in band and marched for five years. He is considered our funny one of the group. Even though he is not the best person that will listen to someone else, he knows what do and will do it and will put his heart to it. He has been a really great person to be around and hope he never stops being who he is and become our next leader. Morgan Elmore is our next euphonium. She has been in band and marched for four years now. She is known as the cute one of our group. She is, also, part drum major through some of the show. She tries her hardest at the things she does and puts all her efforts into it to make it right. She will turn out fine with a little guidance from the right leadership and we would like to say good luck to her.

Our next two are our seventh grade rookies Jacob Stout and Jacob Crowder. This is the first year for both of them. Jacob Stout is our hardcore rookie. He comes to practice every night and does his job with no attitude. We welcome him to our group and we love him no matter what he thinks. Jacob Crowder is our final euphonium. Even though he has a broken arm, he pulls through and marches as if he doesn't have one. That makes him a hardcore rookie and we would like to say that we are proud to have him and we hope that he will stick with us and carry on a tradition of excellence.

I would like to say that I am very proud of my section. Trisha and I are going to really miss you guys and that we love you no matter what we have said or done to you. We hope that you guys will make our section stronger each year. Good luck to you guys in the future.
