Did you hear the flutes?

Blackhawk Brigade Freshman Flute

The flute section of the 2007 Blackhawk Brigade consists of Kaiti Wilson, Elise McElroy, Corrina Morrison, Erica Levi, Kyra Marshall, Rachael Williams, and Stephanie Brown. This years show is called “3 Generations.” All of the flutes can play this show very well. It has been such a great year for the band.

This year’s flute line took a small hit when Elise and Kaiti became drum major. However, we come together during the second number for the big flute feature. We love having Elise and Kaiti back in our section for that part of the show. We still consider them part of our group. Even though they are drum majors, they are still flutes in our hearts.

Occasionally, our section has had some trouble spots, but in the long run it has made us a stronger section. We know that we can depend on each other for support and help. I wish everyone a good luck at state. And flutes, lets play our solo with so much heart it will blow them all away in Indianapolis!
