Blackhawk Brigade Senior Guard Line Member

The Springs Valley Color Guard consists of seventeen members. There are four seniors, four freshmen, five eighth graders, three seventh graders, and one home schooled. The seniors are Morgan Deel, Jessica Crall, Kayla Purkhiser, and Felicia Torres. The freshmen are Logan Burger, Kerryn Stults, Stephanie Wininger, and Lacy Richardson. The eighth graders are Morgan Underhill, Christina Norton, Mariah Allen, Nicole Phillips, and Tiffany Underhill. The seventh graders are Fran Williams, Ashley Alspaugh, and Lucy White. The home schooled is Summer Strange.

Morgan Deel has participated in the color guard for six years. Her favorite memories are the times by the shade tree, going to state, and when the guard first started lifting Logan, Nicole, and herself. What she likes most about this year is getting to know people in the band, and getting lifted during the show. Laura Aylsworth is her role model. Mr. Aylsworth and his discussions in the sixth grade band persuaded Morgan to join the Blackhawk Brigade.

Jessica Crall has participated in the guard for five years. Her favorite memories are Amanda S. getting stuck underneath a seat on the bus, being able to do awards for Regionals, and the bus rides. Her favorite thing about this year is the way Mr. Aylsworth motivated the band. Her role model is Morgan Deel. She joined the band because her best friends joined and told her how much fun it was.

Kayla Purkhiser has participated in the color guard for five years. Her favorite memories are going to state last year and getting to know the band. Her role model is Laura Aylsworth. She joined the band because of how much fun people said it was.

Felicia Torres has participated in the guard for four years. Her favorite memories are being able to do awards and being able to perform. Her role model is Morgan Deel. She joined the band because she saw the band practicing and thought it would be fun.

Logan Burger has participated in the color guard for three years. Her favorite memories are all the times at the shade tree and being in the guard. Her role model is Jessica Crall. Her cousin Krystle persuaded her to join the color guard.

Kerryn Stults has participated in the color guard for three years. Her favorite memory was spearing Jessica Crall in the head last year. Her role models are Jessica Crall and Morgan Deel. She was persuaded to join the color guard because of winter guard.
Stephanie Wininger has participated in the guard for three years. Her favorite memories are the bus rides, mall trips, and state finals. Her role models are all the seniors, but mostly Jessica Crall because she gives great advice. She joined the color guard because she saw how much the band worked and wanted to become a part of it. She has loved it since she joined.

Lacy Richardson has participated in the color guard for three years. Her favorite memory is when the band went to state finals last year. Her role model is Jessica Crall. Her friends persuaded her to join the color guard.

Morgan Underhill has participated in the color guard for two years. Her favorite memory is when Mr. Aylsworth and Jermaine Williams had a Kung Fu Fight. Her role model is Jessica Crall. She joined the guard because she wanted to.

Christina Norton has participated in the color guard for one year. Her favorite memory is the way the crowd cheers for the band as they take the field. Her role model in guard is Jessica Crall. She joined the guard because she has always wanted to be in the color guard since she was a little girl.

Mariah Allen has participated in the guard for two years. Her favorite memory is going to state last year. Her role model is Kayla Purkhiser. She joined the color guard because she thought it would be fun.

Nicole Phillips has participated in the color guard for two years. Her favorite memory is the spirit in Jessica Crall. Her role model is Jessica Crall. She joined the color guard because when she saw the band practicing she wanted to join.
Tiffany Underhill has participated in the color guard for two years. Her favorite memories are the guard circle talks. Her role model is Jessica Crall. She joined the color guard because she thought it would be fun.

Fran Williams has participated in the color guard for two years. Her favorite memory is going to state. Her role model is Jessica Crall. She joined the band because her family had previously participated.

Ashley Alspaugh is a rookie this year. Her favorite memory is having fun this year. Her role model is Kerryn Stults. She joined the color guard because she saw the flags and wanted to join.

Lucy White is a rookie this year. Her favorite memory is when she slipped and fell and everyone laughed. Her role model is Kerryn Stults because Kerryn helped Lucy whenever she needed help. She joined because she hasn’t done anything like this before and her friends told her she should try it.

Sumer Strange is also a rookie this year. Her favorite memory is everything about this year. Her role model is Jessica Crall. She was persuaded by Jesus to join the guard.

The Springs Valley Color Guard would like to give Mr. Aylsworth and Laura Aylsworth a big Thank You for all of their help and encouragement. We would also like to thank the staff, bus drivers, parents and fans. Thank you for helping when we needed it.
