Crash, Bang, and Sizzle all describes the Pit...

Blackhawk Brigade Sophomore Pit Member

The 2007 Blackhawk Brigade pit has worked extremely hard this past year. The pit includes: Ross Moss, Curtis Crow, Brittany Hankins, Jeff Brent, Amber Alspaugh, Damon Galloway, Chi Truong, Hao Lv, Chance Kellams, Kyle Crowder, Dominque Pagan, Patsy Heinz and Kayla Schuler.

Everyone this past year has been so much fun to be around. We could not ask for anything more. Even though we have had some bumps, in the end we pulled together and made one big family. By working together we are now headed to the RCA Dome.

Going to the RCA Dome in its final year will be an experience we will never forget. At this time we would like to thank a few people: Mr. Aylsworth for everything he has done for the pit and band program, Jermaine Williams, Brandon Hagen, and Shane Jones for teaching us how to work together and Beavis (Justin Wininger) for being Beavis. Last but not least, Dee Skaggs. Thank you all for all you do!!!

To come to a close we would like to say goodbye to our only senior, Amber Alspaugh. You will be missed in years to come. We know you have been in band for six years and it has been awesome having you apart of the group.

“Amber has been the corner stone of our pit,” Jermaine mentioned when talking about Amber. “She started back in 2002, my first year as staff, and it was interesting having Amber in our group. As the years went on, Amber picked up more and more each season and she’s now a very seasoned percussionist. She is one of the hardest working members I recall having and has a big heart for band.”

She will always be apart of us and the most dedicated pit member in recent memory. Thank you for everything you have done for the Blackhawk Brigade program.
